Guitarist and singer Ian Moss shared his excitement: “To celebrate our 50th anniversary, we’re performing all our classic hits, the ones we’ve road-tested all over Australia. It's an incredible feeling to hear our fans singing along with us on stage. Adelaide, get ready to bring your voices.”
Bass player Phil Small added, “Gold is traditionally associated with 50th anniversaries, and we’re thrilled to come home to South Australia to thank the fans who’ve supported us from the beginning.”
VAILO Adelaide 500’s Event and Concert Manager, Brian Gleeson OAM, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are so excited to have rock icons Cold Chisel perform at the 25th event. Over the years, we've had many amazing artists at the After Race Concerts, but this year is set to be the biggest yet.”
Supporting Cold Chisel on Sunday night will be ARIA Award-winning chart-toppers The Cruel Sea and hometown rock heroes The Superjesus, along with opening acts provided by Music SA.
Don Walker encapsulated the excitement: “This 50th anniversary tour will be a massive celebration for all of us.”
This announcement follows the confirmation of Crowded House as the headline act for Saturday of the event.
