BBC Studios is set to once again helm the BBC's comprehensive coverage of the illustrious Eurovision Song Contest, the world's most prominent musical showdown. Following the successful staging of the 67th Eurovision Song Contest by the BBC in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine in May 2023, anticipation is high for the upcoming 68th edition.
In the wake of Loreen's triumph in Liverpool with her captivating rendition of "Tattoo," the spotlight now turns to Sweden for the next chapter of Eurovision history. The 68th edition of the Contest is scheduled to take place in Sweden, with the Grand Final slated to unfold live from the iconic Malmö Arena. This marks the seventh occasion that Sweden has been bestowed the honor of hosting the Contest. Adding to the excitement, this year's hosting duties will be entrusted to none other than Hollywood luminary Malin Åkerman and Eurovision stalwart Petra Mede, promising an unforgettable spectacle.
Viewers can once again immerse themselves in all the Eurovision action, as all three live programs - including both Semi-Finals and the Grand Final - will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2024.
