The Head of Trois-Ponts Primary School to Return to Her Post Despite Strong Opposition

The headmistress of Trois-Ponts Primary School will return to her position at the start of the next school term after several months of being sidelined. Her leadership style has displeased both teachers and parents, who accuse her of harassment.

Last night, the communal council had to make a final decision: either remove her from her post (and compensate her) or reinstate her. The council chose to keep her.

Tensions were high on Tuesday evening outside the Trois-Ponts communal council meeting. About thirty parents and teachers learned that the headmistress would be resuming her duties. "We don't feel heard. It doesn’t seem like our actions have made any difference." "Even though we expected this outcome, we are very disappointed because we believe that a school is the heart of a village, and this decision is destroying our village life," said some parents.

The dissatisfaction with the headmistress stems from her strained relationships with both teachers and parents. "Colleagues were constantly on sick leave, and there was no one left to teach our children." "One parent even filed a complaint, and many others, including myself, have had numerous issues with her. She shouldn't be around children because they are not her priority. Her priority is power," explained a concerned father and mother.

The Trois-Ponts commune declined to comment directly but issued a statement explaining that compensating the headmistress would mean paying someone to do nothing, a financially untenable approach for a community of 2,500 residents.

As a result, many parents have made a tough decision: they will transfer their children to different schools at the start of the next term.
