Tito Jackson, a member of the iconic Jackson 5 and The Jacksons, has died at the age of 70.
Jackson passed away on Sunday while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma, according to family friend and manager Steve Manning, who spoke to *Entertainment Tonight*. Manning speculated that Jackson may have suffered a heart attack, though no official cause of death has been confirmed.
As the third of 10 children in the legendary Jackson family, Tito was the older brother of Michael and Janet Jackson. Born Toriano Adaryll “Tito” Jackson in Gary, Indiana, he rose to fame with his brothers in the late ’60s and ’70s after signing with Motown Records. Together, the Jackson 5 became known for chart-topping hits like "I Want You Back," "ABC," and "I’ll Be There," songs that remain classics today.
While his brother Michael went on to global solo superstardom, Tito began his own solo career in 2003, performing as a blues musician in various clubs. His first major commercial success came in 2016 with the release of "Get It Baby," featuring Big Daddy Kane, from his album *Tito Time*.
Tito Jackson is survived by his three sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, who formed the R&B/pop group 3T, as well as nine grandchildren.
