"Amorim Relishes 'Special' First Man Utd Victory Despite Early 'Anxiety'"

The 39-year-old’s scream of relief as Rasmus Højlund netted his first goal to equalize the match at halftime highlighted the immense pressure on Amorim.

The Portuguese manager, having joined Manchester United a third of the way into the season, is striving to establish a wing-back system unfamiliar to the club's recent history. This comes during a particularly demanding stretch of fixtures, adding to the challenge.

With only two full training sessions with the complete squad ahead of Sunday’s clash with Ipswich and two more leading up to this European victory, Amorim’s preparation time has been limited.

To cope, he has adopted a rigorous strategy: pushing non-starters through intense training sessions the day after games. Yet, the uncertainty of this approach weighs on him.

"I feel anxious because I don’t know what will happen," Amorim admitted to TNT Sports. "We have no control at the moment.

"I don’t know the players well, and we haven’t had much time to work together. We approach games with excitement, but also nerves because you can’t predict how it will unfold."
