"Neil Gaiman Faces Allegations as Multiple Women Accuse ‘Sandman’ Author of Misconduct"

Neil Gaiman Accused of Misconduct by Multiple Women in New Report

In a detailed cover story by New York Magazine, multiple women have come forward accusing acclaimed author Neil Gaiman, known for works like The Sandman and Coraline, of sexual assault. The piece expands upon earlier allegations reported by Tortoise Media in July, which included a six-part podcast titled Master, highlighting claims from five women.

While several women initially shared their stories anonymously or under pseudonyms, the New York Magazine report, titled There Is No Safe Word, brings new voices forward. Reporter Lila Shapiro interviewed eight women, four of whom had previously participated in Tortoise’s podcast.

One accuser, Scarlett Pavlovich, recounted meeting Gaiman’s ex-wife, Amanda Palmer, in New Zealand when she was 22. Pavlovich described being invited to babysit the couple’s child and alleged that Gaiman later made inappropriate advances, including joining her naked in a garden bathtub and committing acts of sexual misconduct.

These allegations mark a significant development in the ongoing controversy surrounding the celebrated author. Neither Gaiman nor his representatives have publicly responded to the claims in the latest report.
