Travelers heading south had to endure five hours of waiting and a 28-kilometer traffic jam on the Tauernautobahn towards Villach on Saturday. Additional delays were caused by climate activists blocking highways in three federal states. The situation on the Tauernautobahn A10 in Salzburg was particularly chaotic, with a severe traffic jam reported on Saturday. On Friday, the traffic jam stretched up to 20 kilometers, causing delays of about three hours.
