Canada Post Employee Files Five Cases to Address Bullying

A Canada Post worker in Quebec has come forward about his experiences with workplace bullying, alleging that he has been targeted because he is gay, according to a report by CTV News.

Last year, one of his colleagues drew a penis in the office bathroom and wrote his name inside it. Additionally, his desk and delivery truck were vandalized with the word "p-d," a derogatory term for gay men in French. He even received a letter with the same slur at his home.

The worker endured these incidents for seven months before filing five official complaints with the head of operations at the Bridge Street post office, the Human Rights Commission, and the police.

Despite these actions, the perpetrator(s) remain unidentified.

Canada Post is currently investigating the situation and has increased security measures at the Bridge Street office. The organization stated, "We have a zero-tolerance policy toward inappropriate behavior and discrimination of any kind in the workplace. When an incident occurs, or allegations are brought forward, we take them seriously and act on each one."
