Men's Street Skateboarding Competition at Paris Olympics Postponed to Monday
American skateboarder Jagger Eaton was seen practicing on the street course at Place de la Concorde in Paris, France. However, the men's street skateboarding competition at the Paris Olympics was postponed on Saturday due to heavy rain, according to organizers. The competition has been rescheduled for July 29.
A representative from the media center stated that the skaters were unable to compete because the street course surface was too slick from persistent rain early on Saturday, creating unsafe conditions.
La Concorde, a vast outdoor venue set to host breaking, skateboarding, BMX freestyle, and 3x3 basketball events, was quiet on Saturday. The stands remained empty as workers navigated the waterlogged grounds, with the street course rendered unusable by the rain.
