"Oklahoma State Ends Mike Gundy's Worst Season with a Crushing Loss to No. 25 Colorado"

Oklahoma State suffered a winless Big 12 season just a year after reaching the conference championship game. The Cowboys ended their dismal 3-9 campaign with a crushing 52-0 loss to No. 25 Colorado on Friday, marking the worst defeat of coach Mike Gundy's tenure and the program's first sub-four-win season since going 3-8 in 2000.

Freshman quarterback Maealiuaki Smith struggled to ignite the offense, while the Cowboys’ defense was dismantled by Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders. Sanders connected repeatedly with Heisman favorite Travis Hunter, who recorded 10 receptions for 116 yards and three touchdowns, including a 23-yard grab that sealed the blowout at 52-0.

Oklahoma State committed three turnovers and racked up three personal fouls in a disastrous first quarter, allowing the Buffaloes to take a commanding 21-0 lead. The loss capped a forgettable season for the Cowboys, who went 0-9 in conference play for the first time in Gundy’s tenure.
