With a spot in the SEC Championship Game already secured, No. 7 Georgia faced off against unranked Georgia Tech in a Black Friday edition of the Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate rivalry at Sanford Stadium.
The Bulldogs (9-2), coached by Kirby Smart, entered the matchup as heavy 17.5-point favorites according to ESPN BET. Meanwhile, Georgia Tech (7-4), under second-year head coach Brent Key, sought to end a six-game losing streak in the rivalry.
However, the first half proved disappointing for Georgia fans as the Bulldogs came out flat. Star quarterback Carson Beck and the Georgia offense were completely stifled, failing to put any points on the board.
